Every woman who likes to take care of her skin has gone through the use of various masks for the face, seeking to keep her skin as young and careful as possible. The masks developed by oriental women, have been very famous due to the high effectiveness they have in making the skin of women look beautiful and rejuvenated. And today, Lucid Life will present you with an excellent recipe for making a Korean rejuvenating mask, called a leaf mask, designed to keep the skin hydrated to keep it nourished, shiny and as young as possible.

What is a leaf mask?

The leaf masks originated from South Korea, known for its dedication in cosmetics and skin care. Today, leaf masks are very popular in Asia and are already changing the beauty industry and are gaining renown.

Leaf masks are masks that contain serum and form like a kind of fabric that forms once applied to the face. They’re great because you can use them even when you’re cleaning, cooking, reading or watching TV. The good thing is, you don’t have to worry about washing your face after applying it and you can use them every day.

Serum, main ingredient of the leaf rejuvenating mask

Cosmetic serums, is the main ingredient of this type of masks, since they are highly concentrated and help to repair the skin at a deep level, since they are carriers of a high concentration of active ingredients that the skin absorbs quickly. Today, these serums, which are usually aqueous, can also be found in the form of emulsion or gel.

The serum gives you vitamins, so it fulfills a complete cycle of cell renewal. This feature is especially beneficial when the season changes occur, when the skin is vulnerable because of the sun, cold or wind.

There are different types of serums to treat different types of skin problems and for any age:

1. Sera that regulate sebum. They treat excess skin fat and balance it.
2. Depigmenting serums. They lighten skin spots.
3. Highly moisturizing and nutritious serums for dry or dehydrated skin.
4. Firming serums. They have a fast and long-term tensor effect.
5. Anti-aging serums. They treat signs of the passage of time on the skin, such as wrinkles.

How the leaf mask works?

The leaf fully soaked with concentrated serum, consists of other beneficial ingredients for the skin. These ingredients are in aqueous phase and dissolved. The leaf prevents rapid evaporation of the aqueous phase and extends the time that the ingredients require to penetrate deep into the skin. This results in this rejuvenating mask overcoming the effects of traditional serum skin care, even when applied once.

What are the benefits of the rejuvenating mask with serum?

They bring quick effects when it comes to skin enhancement. The serum is full of various vitamins and minerals, and does not dry the skin compared to the pasta mask. The leaf on your face helps the serum soak in your skin a little more. Some leaf masks can also lighten and make your skin firm. Basically, they are cheap compared to going to a spa, convenient, easy to apply, and bring shiny effect on your skin.

The purpose of these rejuvenating masks is to nourish and moisturize, not exfoliate or cleanse your skin. So you can apply it after a cleaning routine. Leaf masks are probably not as effective at exfoliating or cleansing the skin compared to the pasta mask.
