The prominent and round eyes are a trait that confers a great personality to the face. In fact, they can be really flattering and provide great intensity to our gaze if we know how to make them up properly.
Making them look smaller and almond-shaped is quite simple: with the makeup tips we propose, we will get it easily.
The right makeup base
To begin with, we must use a suitable makeup base throughout the upper eyelid and a dark circle for the lower area.
The tone of the two should be the closest to that of our skin. We have to apply the correctors with slight touches, without extending them; then, to fix, it is enough to add a few powders, if possible translucent.
Choose the right shadows
Once we have prepared the area, we have to choose the shadows. Very clear, bright or pearly tones are not recommended at all; it is best to use matte and dark colors.
Black, blue and green are more appropriate for the night, while earthy colors and gray will be our best allies for the day.
A very effective trick is to use a base shade of beige color (always neutral, never pearlescent) in the inner area of the eyelid (near the tear) to disguise the prominence of the eyes; we can also apply it under the arch of the eyebrows, since this illuminates our gaze.
If we like light shadows, these are the only areas where we should use them. On the other hand, in the outermost part of the eyelid it is highly recommended to blur the dark shadows towards the area of the sien.
A correct use of the eye pencil helps us to optically reduce its size: for this, we must delineate the line of the upper eyelid only from the middle outwards, and we can even let a small corner stick out. At the bottom, we have to apply the eyeliner inside. The star colors are black and brown but, beware, mascara must always be the same color as we choose!
It is best to apply it only on the eyelashes furthest from the tear, avoiding the inner part of the eye. If we like the effect it provides on the lower eyelashes, we can use it, but in this way we increase the size of the eye; to compensate, we need to delineate the lower eyelid inside and out.
