The mustache is one of those physical attributes that men possess, that if they manage to wear it properly and elegantly, they can even make it part of their personal brand.
Examples of this really exist many, both in film and television, where characters played by actors Tom Selleck and Guy Williams; they are nowadays icons of this trend.
But letting a good mustache grow is only the beginning of an arduous task, to be able to get that air of sophistication and charm that in the background; they look for those who decide to take it.
Like all good things, this also requires sacrifice and care so that it always looks stylized and brings presence and class to its bearer.
No matter which of the hundreds of whisker styles that exist is the one chosen to wear, one thing is common to all:
Care and maintenance should never be left out. Remember that the mustache will give a plus to your presentation face and the style you impose.
Whether we like it or not, when we meet or greet a person our eyes at first go to their face, to the eyes to be more exact, and then to the other features; in an unconscious desire to be able to remember it later.
Precisely one of these features is the mustache, which is usually the first alluded to when we describe a person who possesses it.
For this simple but powerful reason, we must make our mustache look splendid on all occasions; because it is one of our first references.
Keys to shaping a good mustache
Below we will describe in detail, the ideal way to accurately model that mustache that so much attracts the attention of people who know us and those who do not:
1. Let it grow sufficiently:
In order to trim something, it has to be long.
As is common in the vast majority of different styles of whiskers, it is necessary that there is a certain amount of hair with the length and the necessary thickness to be able to model it without limitations.
In this sense, a length of at least about 2 cm is usually ideal for the mustache, by virtue of the fact that it is located in the range of “neither so short, nor so thick”.
Of course, this is not limiting in the case you want to wear a leafy mustache. To do this, you simply let it grow a little more.
2. Trim your mustache:
Before you concentrate on the top of the mustache, you’ll need to start the process of shaving your beard.
To do this it is suggested to place the comb of your shaver and select the length you want and the precision dial.
The recommendation is that you leave it between 1 and 2 cm, but it is your decision in reference to what best suits you.
3. Shape the mustache starting from the neck:
To do this you must first remove the comb from your trimmer so that you directly use the head to shape your mustache.
The ideal is that you are profiling around the mustache, and then continue with the neck, cheeks and finally, the chin.
It is prudent to avoid the upper lip area while it is shaping, accessing it when everything is properly shaved. At that point you can start molding the exact shape you’re looking for.
4. Scratch flush so that the mustache is defined:
The step that follows is to bring the shaving flush to the neck, chin and jaw.
If you want to have an even shaving and a fairly smooth finish without making much effort, you can use it, if you have one; the mustache trimmer machine. If not, use the traditional one.
Previously, the skin should be prepared by applying a little warm water and some shaving foam.
Shaving should be done in the opposite direction to the growth of hair, continuously until all the skin surrounding the mustache is soft and without traces of hair.
5. Moisturize your mustache and love it to your liking:
Finally, you can proceed to wash your face and moisturize it with some lotion or moisturizer free of alcohol, to prevent the skin from dry out.
